Kate Bingaman-Burt is an illustrator & educator.

Her work orbits around the objects in our lives: the things we buy, the things we discard, and the collectivity and social interaction that can arise from cycles of consumption. Via illustrations, daily documentation, publications, events, large-scale participatory projects, client work, and a full-time role as educator, Kate’s work invites a dialogue about contemporary forms of exchange.

Other People's Mixtapes: Poetry Tour Edition

My friend Zach Schomburg is currently traveling across the country on a book tour in a 1989 Chevy Conversion Van that only has a tape deck. Because of his tape only situation, he is asking people to bring him mixtapes when they come out to listen to him read. I am drawing the mixtapes and the track listings in what we hope will be complied into a zine.

I have drawn other people's mixtapes before. If you want me to draw one of your mixtapes, send me an image of the tape and a listing of the tracks and I will do my best to draw it.
